Assad urged to leave to Russia, asylum offered in Tunisia, Islam confused

Syrian envoy denounces UN talks, walks out [Video]

Syria claims 90% of voters backed reforms in referendum: Syria claimed that a constitutional referendum held on Sunday was approved by close to 90% of voters, even as international reaction to its ongoing crackdown intensified with the European Union announcing fresh sanctions against key regime figures. Bloodshed continued in restive parts of the country on Monday, with around 30 people killed the day after a ballot which had been hailed as a showpiece of reform in the rigidly controlled state.

The Baba Amr district of the country's third city, Homs, was again the worst affected, with violence in the neighborhood accounting for much of the nationwide death toll.
That is not hard to believe when you take into account that Assad supporters were the only ones that felt safe enough to venture out and vote their mind.

70 dead as Asaad urged to leave to Russia: The President of Tunisia Moncef Marzouki has proposed to the Syrian President to go to Russia with his family into exile. In a speech at the first meeting of the Friends of Syria, which was held in Tunis, he said the Assad family should be guaranteed immunity.
"The justice will not be served, but the life of the Syrians is more important than justice," he said. Such a solution along the lines of the Yemen road plan is better than a military intervention or the arming of deserters, the Tunisian leader stressed.

Hamas PM salutes 'heroic' Syrians: Gaza premier Ismail Haniya on Friday hailed the "heroic" Syrian struggle for democracy during a rally in Cairo, in the first expression of support of the uprising by a Hamas leader. "I salute all the people of the Arab Spring, or rather the Islamic Winter," Haniya told thousands of cheering people during the demonstration of support for Palestinians and Syrians at Cairo's Al-Azhar mosque.
"I salute the heroic Syrian people, who are striving for freedom, democracy and reform," he added. "No Iran, no Hezbollah. Syria is Islamic," chanted the protesters, in an apparent reference to the Syrian regime's Shiite Muslim supporters.

Iran angry at Hamas abandoning Al-Assad

Syria conflict worries Beirut, reopens divisions: People in the Lebanese capital Beirut are watching anxiously as the increasingly bloody conflict in neighbouring Syria unfolds, fearing it could spill over the border and bring a return of the violence that tore their own country apart for so long.

Indonesia urges all parties in Syria to end violence: "Principally, we agreed that violence must be stopped now. Now, not tomorrow or the day after tomorrow, because enough blood has been shed, there have been enough people who have suffered," said Natalegawa.

The Minister said in the press conference after met Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sudan Ali Ahmed Karti at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Jakarta on Friday, Feb 24. Natalegawa also said that Indonesia has signed an agreement with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to support peace in the Middle-East.
"It is very unfortunate that UN has failed to take a stance about conflict in Syria, therefore we have to push more the diplomatic effort," he said.

7500 dead in Syria as Assad offered asylum in Tunisia: Tunisian President Mouncef Marzouki offered the Syrian ruler Bashar al-Assad a political asylum. Tunisia was willing to host Assad and his family, the Tunisian leader told the local newspaper of "La Presse". On Friday, Tunisia hosted a conference called the "Friends of Syria" in his speech there, Marzouki offered Assad to step down in exchange for legal immunity.

It is time to replace Capitalism with Democracy

For years because of Bush's fascist agenda many of us said this is not a Democracy. A Democracy only in name to facilitate a hidden agenda. Now we hear from Republicans that this is no longer a Democracy because of Obama and the socialist agenda he inherited from Bush. Anyway you look at it this is not a Democracy!

Is it supposed to be a Democracy just because they make you leave your pen once every couple of years to go out and vote for those with the money to buy their position to force the agenda that keeps those corporations in control that really run this country? Is it Democracy that allows the top 1% to own more than the bottom 95% combined?

Would a Democracy allow their fellow citizens to go without the basic needs of any human being let alone right here in the USA, Food Shelter and clothing? Homes are still being foreclosed at a rate of 1 every 7.5 seconds. This is a Democracy in action? Is the health insurance Industry spending 1.5 million dollars a day to control Congress and kill health care reform so they can keep control over you Democracy in action?

No! It is capitalism run amok, Capitalism is controlling our Democracy. This is not a Democracy. Democracy is a system of government in which either the actual governing is carried out by the people governed or the power to do so is granted by them. There are two principles that any definition of democracy includes, equality and freedom.

Would not equality dictate that the top 1% take care of those who are in trouble? Or is it because Capitalism rules Democracy that they have the "freedom" to ignore Equality and Democracy? Democracy

Capitalism as a system developed incrementally from the 16th century in Europe. Capitalism typically refers to an economic and social system in which the means of production are privately controlled. Controlling it is is a matter of politics and policy. Capitalism

Politics and Democracy are supposed to be controlling Capitalism. Capitalism is not supposed to be controlling Democracy! Capitalism has run amok and as you know is controlling Democracy. Our Government just bailed out Capitalism and there was nothing Democratic about it. Capitalism owns our Democracy and our Government. We the people have been left to our own demise. It is time to control Capitalism with Democracy so for once we are all equal!

Syrians are caught in a proxy power struggle

Deaths mount in Syria as General Assembly meets: Syrian security forces resumed their fierce shelling of opposition targets in Homs Thursday but appeared to be losing their tight grip in the northern region.Government troops were stretched thin in their effort to control all fronts in the volatile country, while violence raged in the grass-roots anti-government uprising.

Syrians feel caught in an external power struggle: Syrians feel caught in a proxy power struggle among the US, Gulf states, China, and Russia– who all seem more concerned with their interests and less with democracy for all. This external fight is preventing Syrians from making vital decisions about their own internal challenges.

Arab League to arm Syrian opposition: Syrian Crisis Spills Over Into Lebanon, on the other side Russia and china are arming Syria and Iran.

Arab League to arm Syrian opposition: Al Hayat newspaper quoted diplomatic sources as saying that arming the Syrian opposition is now officially an option for the Arab League following the recent decision by the Ministerial Council which stated that the Arabs are ready to "provide all means of political and material support" to the opposition.

The sources said that this decision allows the supply of weapons. Meanwhile, a Jordanian newspaper reported that the leader of the Muslim Brotherhood in the kingdom, Dr. Hammam Said, confirmed that fighting against the Syrian regime of President Bashar al-Assad is a "religious duty". He explained that this duty "requires the support of all Muslims to the free Syrian army.

Syrian Crisis Spills Over Into Lebanon: The onslaught on Homs has enflamed emotions in nearby Lebanon, reviving tensions between Lebanese Sunnis, who largely support the Syrian rebellion, and Alawites, who support the regime in Damascus. The conflict between the groups has been ongoing for generations and seems set to continue for long.

Russian weapons ship arrives in Syria with 60 tons of arms and ammunition

Homs under massive attack as Shiite fighters help Assad regime: Media sources claim that Iranian fighters from the Revolutionary Guards and Iraqis from the Shiite Al-Mahdi Army of Moqtada Sadr have been sent to help the Syrian regime. Iran has also dispatched pilots to Syria , especially since Bashar al-Assad feared the defection of his pilots. Iranian and Iraqi militiamen are primarily deployed in the region of Souwaida

Put all we have been discussing together to get the full picture of a still just developing horror:

5 Years ago we noted: U.S. promises of military aid or arms sales to strengthen its Middle Eastern allies against Iran and other regional foes seem aimed at repairing a balance of power destroyed by the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq. That is not what is going to happen or what this is about.

Supposedly Toppling Saddam Hussein ended Iraq's role as a counterweight to Iran, a part it had played since the 1980s in a Gulf security system that Washington had hoped would contain the rival powers. That was only the smallest of the repercussions. Toppling Saddam gave Bush the excuse to get into the middle east, upset the balance of the entire middle east as Bush knew would be the case, and set the stage for Bush's new middle east order that has long been planned and he will not stop now.

This is still just beginning but it will increase rapidly with Iran's threat to close the Gulf and us arming our Allies to help fight them. I had some interesting conversations in relation to this story. That made me remember how long this has all been planned, and put the rest of this developing scenario together. After 50 years of middle east policy and not arming them to fight wars Bush has changed that in hopes of getting them to fight Iran and Syria.
Bush now Obama will be freed to attack Pakistan and Iran from the Gulf as Iraq quiets and others fight Iran on the ground, or so they think!

We must make a Difference! We think we will now be free to go after Pakistan and Iran from the Gulf with our carrier and battle Groups while others will be able to defend themselves and will be doing the brunt of the fighting and ground combat. Everything is almost prepared. It gets much worse

Remember the Saudi Iranian Neo cold war It is soon to be out in the open and go virile!

Remember the Saudi's opened their air so Israel could attack Iran

I have to reiterate something I have said too many times since Bush chose to ignore all warnings of total civil war spreading throughout the entire Middle East so he could attack Iraq and straighten out the Middle East as God spoke to him and instructed him to. You know I firmly believe and have said so a million times by now that since 9/11 everything was construed to allow Bush to gain the power he needed to prosecute his new order not just in the Middle East but on the entire world! He diverted from Afghanistan to get back into the Middle East with the goal of setting up a larger safety zone for Israel and going after Iran.

Bush has created a hell on earth for Iraq that he calls liberty and success with promises to spread it throughout the entire Middle East. He has long wanted a Korea style force in Iraq to secure the peace! We were concerned because we knew that would never work in Iraq or the Middle East! Planting our military in the middle of the mess Bush has created out of the Middle East because of his failed Democratization program would be a Custer's Last Stand on a grand scale!

I still see a total civil war Sunni against Shiite erupting in the Middle East because Bush freed up Iran to instigate it on their end and they are. I still am concerned we will have a permanent presence in the Middle East but feel we will have to largely leave Iraq to her own demise. We will still be there but it looks like Yemen, and the Gulf of Aden will be the prime focus unless Iran gets something going between the US and Iran.

As you know, I talk about it often as I watch Bush's new Middle East (dis)order progress. He ignored Afghanistan so he could use the patriot acts powers to divert from Afghanistan to attack Iraq using the excuse of unseating Saddam so he could get in the Middle East to help Israel establish a buffer zone and establish a new middle east (dis) order or so Israel and Cheney thought. Bush at Cheney's urging made an abrupt shift in policy towards Syria, a shift that has now brought the entire Mideast region to the brink of war and chaos. Much worse than the hell on earth they created for Iraq. Did you ever read A clean Break, Cheney's well documented destructive plans for the middle east

That plan was put together in 1996 for Israel. They were just waiting for an idiot to come along so they could implement their plan for the Middle East. Along came the life long follower and life long alcoholic loser Georgie Bush. I wish I could say the rest is History but this is still barely beginning and just beginning to take shape. All Bush did by ignoring Afghanistan and attacking Iraq was to guarantee a loss of everything and a complete Middle East and Asian Breakdown.

He freed Iran up to pursue her version of new middle East order by interfering wherever she could while Bush was doing the same thing with his Middle East Democratization program. I think you can see how successful Bush and Cheney were with chaos creating Middle East Democracy program but you are barely seeing the results they created in Iran.

The goal absolutely is to be the country who decides which direction the new Middle East (dis)order will take. Bush started it by attacking Iraq to get into the middle east to destabilize it and start the new middle east order the idiot said God told him to do now it will be up to Iran and Saudi Arabia (Al Qaeda?) at least up front fight it out whether this goes the Iranian Shiite way or the Saudi Arabian Sunni way and do not forget Israel!

Both will fail! It has long been my contention that coming to Israel's aid once they attack Iran will be our in to Iran but with Iran, the Gulf, Syria, and everything else who knows what will happen first.

Watch out Iran! Watch out US and Israel, Watch out world! We must contain this to the middle east and keep it from turning into WW3. This must be a middle east fight and problem or the entire world is in dire trouble and we have too much already as we try to move successfully through the 21st century. I am afraid we are failing our children in every regard.

Al Qaeda Is acting out in desperation

Fears that Iran Is Helping Al Qaeda Plot Atrocity, Al-Qaeda Joins the Syrian Rebellion  and Al Shabab: Time to listen to your own Noman Benotman

Al-Qaeda Joins the Syrian Rebellion: Al-Qaeda insurgents have now crossed into Syria in an effort to bring down the Syrian regime of Bashar Assad. The armed presence of the terror group raises new concerns over what factions within the Syrian anti-government coalition will emerge triumphant if and when Assad falls.

One Iraqi official said that Nineveh and Anbar have become “land bridges for the transportation of weapons and ammunition from the huge arsenal built up over its years of existence in Iraq.” Funding for the al-Qaeda incursion into Syria is reportedly coming from Saudi Arabia and other Persian Gulf states in the Gulf Cooperation Council.

Fears Iran Is Helping Al Qaeda Plot Atrocity: Iran and al Qaeda's core leadership under Ayman al Zawahiri have established an "operational relationship" amid fears the terror group is planning a spectacular attack against the West.
There are concerns such an attack, possibly targeting the Olympics, would be in revenge for the killing of Osama bin Laden by the US last year. Sky News' intelligence sources have said Iran has been supplying al Qaeda with training in the use of advanced explosives, "some funding and a safe haven" as part of a deal first worked out in 2009 which has now led to "operational capacity".

Al Qaeda's 'morale boost' as it formally joins with Al Shabab: The move is an apparent bid to boost morale after months of setbacks to al Qaeda - including the loss of founder Osama bin laden. One analyst said the connection could signal that the insurgents, known as resourceful, determined and increasingly web-savvy, had al Qaeda's approval for attacks against the West.

Whatever you said about President Obama since he was elected the Taliban and Al Qaeda leaders in particular have been decimated for what it is worth. Since we killed Osama Bin Laden leaders have been falling left and right and I must say thinking about it I have not heard of Al Qaeda doing anything of significance not that we want it. Al Qaeda joining with Al Shabab, helping Syrian protesters, and allying with Iran to harm the west prove Al Qaeda is a wounded animal and a wounded animal as we know can be dangerous to others and more importantly we must emphasize a danger to them themselves.

It is time to listen to A Letter written by Noman Benotman, a former commander in the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group who fought beside Osama against Russia!

The terrorist who said no to Bin Laden:You have lost your way! You are messing around with the DNA of Islam itself. I was impressed when I saw this interview on TV. It is obvious this man was a key high level player before 9/11 and was in on the meeting running up to it. This discussion was about an open letter written by Noman Benotman, a former commander in the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group (LIFG) and a former associate of Osama bin Laden and Ayman al-Zawahiri.

In al Qaeda strategy meetings in Kandahar in 2000, Benotman warned the al-Qaeda leadership of ‘total failure' to realize their aims and called on bin Laden and al-Zawahiri to abandon violence. As you know they did not and he is out for good reason. He was at the high level meeting running up to 9/11, the Davos or terrorism and said no to Osama you will be defeated, this is not about Islam this is not Jihad.

He comes out now and says no this must stop. We are not winning and I was right. We have betrayed Islam. We are killing the very people and cause we were supposed to be fighting for. Knowing our response to past attacks they thought our response would be 200 missiles or so, so they took the chance. Needless to say they did more damage and killed more people than they thought they would and this is just beginning unless the Islamists quit because we must fight for our lives.

Noman Benotman loves and respects Bin Laden but like Al Zawahiri Al Qaeda number two he does not think Bin Laden is very smart. However, he does not have to be. He got this so called Jihad going and has incited the Islamist rancor he intended. whether he's Dead or alive the battle on. For Islamists this has taken on a life of its own. If indeed Bin Laden is alive as we are led to believe, only he can stop this. In reality he is the greatest enemy of his people.

Bin Laden is solely responsible for all this war death and destruction. He's no frigging hero to Muslims. They should hunt him down themselves and end this! Noman considered himself a freedom fighter and he was. He fought alongside Bin Laden against the Russians but said these wars have nothing to do with Islam. It is purely political and it is time to lay down arms, 100% and end all this senseless violence.

We know this but Noman says Al Qaeda and now Islamists of all stripes offers meaning to those who have none and gives them a cause but has nothing to do with Islam or Jihad. This all boils down to communications and I agree but Islamists are not interested in communicating. They are interested in our destruction. violence is their communication.

Osama stop bring shame on Islam. Stop killing your own people. Stop bringing death and destruction on them. You forsook Mullah Omar who invited you into Afghanistan to give you protection. Bin Laden used Afghanistan for his own personal war against the west, the US, and Israel. This is not Islam , this is not Jihad. Restore Muslim integrity, end this now! An Open Letter to Osama bin Laden -- by Noman Benotman | The AfPak ...

I can see some value in helping such as the Syrian protesters being slaughtered but any way you look at it all I can see is much wasted death. OMG if man could only get along, leave well enough alone, and accept others for what they are.

Croatia Votes 'Yes' to EU Membership: Why would anyone want to join the European Union?

Croatia Votes 'Yes' to EU Membership: Croatians voted Sunday in favor of joining the European Union despite a poor turnout for the referendum — a sign of how much the debt-stricken 27-nation bloc has lost its appeal within countries aspiring to join. Why on gods green earth would anyone join the EU at this point? It is like boarding a sinking ship.

Russia's Putin Says Eurasian Union May Be Created In 2015: Putin called for the creation of a Eurasian union to be built on the base of the existing Customs Union, a Russia-led trade group that also includes Belarus and Kazakhstan, in an article published in a Russian newspaper earlier this month. The call marked yet another step in Moscow's drive to rebuild economic ties among former Soviet republics.

Heads of the Russian, Belarus and Kazakh governments discussed the declaration endorsing the creation the union on Wednesday. Putin said he expected the declaration to be signed in December. Putin said in the article other countries were welcome to join the Eurasian union, which will aim to more closely coordinate the economic and currency policies of its member states. The talk of creation the Eurasian union isn't about "the recreation of the U.S.S.R.," but of building a connection between Europe and the Asia-Pacific region, Putin said
.

Turkey wants to join the EU and I am more concerned for Turkey than the EU. Turkey will strengthen the EU and garner badly needed points from the Muslim world but there would be great negatives too for both the EU and Turkey.Turkey must join EU, says UK PM I agree Turkey will strengthen the EU and garner badly needed points from the Muslim world but I think there would be great negatives too and for both the EU and Turkey.

I find it very disconcerting for many reasons. The European Union is bigger than the United States and that is not a concern for many reasons not needing explaining. However I find it troubling that Russia and other USSR countries want to join with the EU knowing the fragile condition of Greece and other countries and announces other countries are welcome to join. Is this an open invitation to China? or is it to not just compete with the US but for a two fold benefit?

Of late Russia has been rebounding and has expressed more than an interest in reclaiming her former glory as has China with her reunification efforts. We remember her former glory when she tried to militarily defeat Europe. Knowing China is more than raucous in expressing her desire to rule Asia without a US presence so she can through military force impress her desires for all the uncaptured natural resources in the South and East China sea's plus all the Islands long in contention.

Russia too has her interests in this regard. What are we to think? You know, I talk often as to how concerned I am as the big three Russia, the United States, and China, jockey for position to dominate as we move through the 21st century which will only lead to war and destruction instead of jockeying for a position of peace and prosperity for all as we must if we are to avoid WW3 which we and the planet can not survive and be life sustaining as we know it as our weapons are too plentiful and deadly. What is really up here?

Nato forces have lost legitimacy? Must get out of Afghanistan?

2 US troops killed in Koran backlash: Two U.S. troops have been shot to death and four more wounded by an Afghan solider who turned his gun on his allies in apparent anger over the burning of Korans at a U.S. military base in Afghanistan, an Afghan official tells CBS News.

Nato forces have lost legitimacy: The Nato forces in Afghanistan led by the US cannot hope to succeed in any part of their mission when they persistently display profound ignorance of the country in which they are operating. The long-running conflict needs some kind of political solution, which has to be found by the Afghan government talking to the Taliban. It cannot be found by Americans killing Afghans.
It is a disaster that the coalition forces continuously display an ingrained ignorance of Muslim sensibilities, as illustrated by US personnel burning copies of the Quran in a pile of garbage. The holy book is universally respected by all Muslims, and there are clear cut methods to dispose off old copies of the book respectfully.

There are accepted ways of disposing of any Holy book but you do not see other Religions trying to kill everybody and rising up. I am going to assume once again this is the Islamists making as much of this as possible to turn Muslims against us. That said, I do believe we should get out of Afghanistan and leave them to their own demise. I do agree though that we just keep giving the Islamists reason to drum up anger against the west.

Remember that idiot Pastor who was going to burn the Koran and what that did? Quran-burning protests spread to Kandahar; 9 dead,Today this is getting worse and there is 20 dead. That fffing Jones!

Fla. Pastor denies responsibility for Afghan killings

Five Die In Second Koran burning Protest as Five people have died in protests in Kandahar against the burning of a copy of the Koran, a day after an attack prompted by the incident left at least 12 people dead, including seven UN staff.

There are not words strong enough that I can use to show my disgust for what this so called Pastor had done. Pastor Jones agreed to not burn the the Koran last year because the Imam who was going to build the Muslim educational center (the so called Mosque) said he would move it. According to Jones this would please God. What the hell is that? I don't know about God but the damage was done and warnings had gone out to all Americans everywhere not just to the soldiers as the Taliban have weighed in along with Robert Gates.

I am really concerned for my sons in combat still. Hell the Bible like the Koran can be interpreted to justify killing. I wish we would just leave those fools to their own demise.

I thought I better remind us of just a little of what we have done to Muslims to deserve their ire:

Remember the Swiss ban on Minarets The minaret was a political symbol against integration; a symbol more of segregation and first above all a symbol to try to introduce Sharia law parallel to Swiss rights. That sounds insane but it went directly to the paranoid citizens and they voted to outlaw the Minaret.

IRAN: Outrage, and a warning, over Swiss vote to ban minarets

Libya follows Iran in warning against Swiss minaret ban

Bishop of Arabia dismayed by minaret ban in Swiss homeland

Remember the Danish cartoons about Muhammad printed almost 5 years ago? Here they are

Remember the French headscarf ban after dozens of Muslim school girls were expelled for refusing to remove their head scarf To the French it is a sign of oppression but who cares what they think? Their desire to ban it altogether?

Remember Salman Rushdie, who went into hiding under threat of death after an Iranian fatwa, was knighted by the Queen? Muslim's wanted his head and he had to go into hiding

You know I have written often of my disgust with those who said we did nothing to deserve 9/11 or anything that has happened before and since. We more than asked for everything we got. Remember the Berlin conference Berlin Conference of 1884-1885 to Divide Africa

India and Pakistan being ad hoc divided by Britain

Former New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin under investigation: source: About time!

Gentilly 6 years later

Former New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin under investigation: source: Former New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin, the colorful and controversial spokesman for the city after the devastating Hurricane Katrina in 2005, is under investigation by federal authorities, a source with direct knowledge of the probe said.

The source told Reuters on Friday that several people linked to Nagin or the New Orleans city administration during his two terms as mayor ending in 2010 were cooperating with the U.S. Justice Department and the FBI. The investigation includes whether Nagin received favors or items of value from vendors to the city in return for contracts they received while Nagin was in office, the source said.

I thought it appropriate to resurrect a blog I posted 9/1/05 Katrina, natural disaster man made catastrophein order to put a couple recent stories into perspective. To start with, it was surprising to me to find out that New Orleans even had a levee board especially in light of the damage incurred. You would have thought their job would be to secure the levees.

Census Finds Hurricane Katrina Left New Orleans Richer, Whiter, Emptier : Government aid to Katrina residents often helped the most affluent, Lower Ninth Ward: Still Recovering. They rebuilt the New Orleans they wanted not the one we had

Census Finds Hurricane Katrina Left New Orleans Richer, Whiter, Emptier What a surprise huh? NOT!

New Orleans population nearly 30 per cent lower than before Hurricane Katrina It has been 6 years but we were right on!

After Katrina: A tale of two recoveries

Government aid to Katrina residents often helped most affluent

Lower 9th still recovering There is good reason for it and as you know, it was on purpose.

Starting with mayor Nagin him and all authorities Federal, city, and State should be held accountable for the years of neglect.

We know now how sad a state of repair some of them were in. Instead they established an Airport and a marina. They also played a role in establishing a floating casino, top of the line fiber optic system, and spent 2.4 million on a Mardis Gras fountain and left the 9th street levee in the poorer area of the city in particular in a state of disrepair.

This was all nice for businesses and the elite whose areas suffered relatively light damage. The poor did suffer the brunt of Katrina and Rita. The devastation to these people in the first place occurred because of criminal neglect by authorities and local officials on every level. I contended that this natural disaster was allowed to clean out New Orleans of what the elite thought of as undesirable elements and failed for years to do it themselves.

Now the are largely out with many choosing to stay out. I contended that the wealthy elite, largely white, and the politicians will now be able to rebuild for their own interests. We thought New Orleans might now become a Republican city. This all seemed a distinct possibility especially with the French Quarter, the Convention Center, and the Garden District, were all largely high and dry and largely intact.

It seemed obvious that the poor sections were now cleaned out and the housing projects gone compliments of Mother Nature and not God as Mayor Nagin ridiculously stated, and supposedly not from any design of mans. Along with these areas went much of Mayor Nagin's ill mentioned chocolate aspect of New Orleans.

We knew that enough of the poor and the blacks if you will, will be back for whatever reason primarily to service the needs of industries, the wealthy elite and politicians, and various business interests. then reading a story in the NY Times that New Orleans might be rebuilt whiter and smaller it looks like the thoughts expressed more than 5 years ago were right on target.

Part 2 of 2 today: I do not like the way WW3 in the Middle East is taking shape while we watch

This is a bit lengthy but you need to read it and give it some thought because sadly it is true and out of our control. Syrian Opposition 'Would Allow' Intervention , despite Russian and Chinese warnings, the US might do it. Looks like starting WW3 against Russia China and Iran whether the goal or not is going to happen and Syria is going to be the impetus.

Syrian Opposition 'Would Allow' Intervention: Basma Qadmani, a senior SNC official, told a press conference in Paris: "We are really close to seeing this military intervention as the only solution. There are two evils, military intervention or protracted civil war."
After arguing for months that the Syrian people had to fight their battles on their own, the scale of the violence and level of destruction that months of intense fighting have wrought pushed the Council to accept foreign intervention may be the only way forward. Ms Qadmani also said that Russia should use its privileged position as a closer ally to the Syrian regime than most, to lobby the government to allow humanitarian aid into the country.

an appeal by the Syrian rebel army to be armed by the international community was not totally rejected last night by the State Department. "We still think that a political solution is what we need," spokesman Jay Carney said late Tuesday. The U.S. wanted to take no action that would contribute to a further militarization of the situation in Syria.

This could bring the country down to a dangerous path. "We can not exclude any additional steps," added Carney.... The White House also expressed support for the idea of a daily cease- fire to send humanitarian aid to civilians in Homs.

Russia boosts arms sales to Syria: Russia faces a growing international outcry over its arms sales to Syria but shows no sign of bowing to pressure and has even increased deliveries of arms that critics say are helping keep President Bashar al-Assad in power.

The biggest importer of arms to Syria, Russia sold Damascus nearly $1 billion worth of arms including missile systems last year, while shipments of hard-to-track Russian small weapons have risen since the uprising against Assad started, government defectors say. In January, the Russian ship Chariot, loaded with arms and ammunition, turned off its radar and sailed quietly to Syria to avoid attracting the attention of world powers increasingly frustrated by Russia and China’s refusal to back UN Security Council resolutions aimed at ending 11 months of violence.

Because of George Bush and Dick Cheney's war mongering China and Russia were ramping up to take the US and its allies on. I was hoping with the election of Obama that would all come to an end but it has not. Since Bush's illegal attack on Iraq to get into the middle east to go after Iran and pothers the west and on the other side Iran has done everything to get this going. I was hoping we could keep it contained but it does not appear so unless China watches the US and Russia weaken themselves enough for China to devour the remainder.

Both will fail! It has long been my contention that coming to Israel's aid once they attack Iran will be our in to Iran but with Iran, the Gulf, Syria, and everything else who knows what will happen first. Watch out Iran! Watch out US and Israel, Watch out world!

World war 3 will it start in the middle east? Yes!

World war 3 will it start in the middle east? This developed several decades ago is telling and undeniable: Act1-Act6 are undeniable and telling!

The Planned World War 3 - A Play in Numerous Acts World War Three in Brief!
Look at this frigging undeniable setup! I told you. A multi Act World War scenario was developed several decades ago (see Conspiratorial History). Two World Wars have already been achieved, and the Third and final World War envisions an attack on Iraq, Iran and/or Syria as being the trigger to set the entire Middle East into fiery conflagration. Once America is firmly entrenched into the Middle East with the majority of her first-line units, North Korea is to attack South Korea. Then, with America's forces stretched well beyond the limit, China is to invade Taiwan. This will usher in the start of World War Three. north and South Korea, China and Taiwan, you cannot deny this, damn I told you!

World War Definition:
What constitutes a 'world war'? How many countries need to be involved? And who decides at which point a number of regional skirmishes can be grouped together and called a World War? At the time, who called the official start of World War 1 and World War 2? And have you noticed that although the term 'World War Three' is freely used in the alternative press and on the Internet, all the major news networks have stoically avoided using any phrase reminiscent of World War.

A World War is a military conflict spanning more than 2 continents, in which at least 20 major countries participate in an attack against a common enemy, and which has the attention of the man-in-the-street due to the significant loss of life.

With that definition, we can agree that WW1 and WW2 were in fact World Wars (both wars involved some degree of participation from most of the world's then existing countries: Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United States and the Soviet Union). We can also agree that we are very close to achieving World War 3. The only requirement left to fulfill the start of WW3 is that of a military conflict spanning more than 2 continents. As soon as Israel attacks Palestine, or North Korea attacks South Korea or the US, or China invades Taiwan, we will have the next World War well underway.

World War 3 Timeline

These are, I believe, the elements of the planned Third World War:

Prelude - The events leading up to the start of World War Three, including Sept 11, 2001.

Act 1 - The Middle East. Widespread conflict to bring the entire region into the flames of war, possibly triggered by Iran or militants in Pakistan using North Korean supplied nuclear arms. The first Scene in this Act is the US Invasion of Iraq on March 20, 2003.

Act 2 - Israel at War -- Against her Arab neighbors, possibly Palestine. A Palestinian State will be established, so that all Israelis will be fully separated from Palestinians (listen out for mention of a 7-year treaty to be confirmed by a World Leader - probably Bush), only for Israel to viciously attack Palestine shortly thereafter.

Act 3 - Far East -- "Hair-raising nuclear confrontation that threatens mankind's existence" - Peter Lemesurier, author of The Armageddon Script, p. 223, written in 1981. Includes China invading Taiwan and a nuclear eruption on the Korean Peninsula.

Act 4 - Erosion of Confidence in 'The System' so severe citizens will be panicked into giving up liberties and Constitutional form of government. The plan calls for the dissolution of the US Constitution, triggered by a significant enough 'terrorist' attack. The ultimate intent is to introduce a global government and one-world religion.

Act 5 - The collapse of the US, and other Western economies and morals.

Act 6 - Significant population reduction using natural and man-made disasters.
Curtain. Who can tell how this war will end? I will tell you, I have written about it in a Manifesto to the World but we will discuss it at your leisure!
I tried to find the name of the author of the body of this work but I could not find it. I recommend that you look at the various pages and levels of thought and input. it is an undeniable setup

Part 1 of 2 today: Looks like proxy war in Syria will be the start of war in the middle east

Russia, China and Iran showed support for Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, vowed no other foreign intervention allowed
Russia, China and Iran showed support for Syrian President Bashar al-Assad on Monday, days before an international meeting likely to pile more pressure on him to step down in the face of an increasingly bloody uprising. : Assad met a senior Russian politician in Damascus, who reiterated Moscow's support for his self-styled reform program and spoke out against any foreign intervention in the conflict, Russian and Syrian news agencies reported.

China accused Western countries of stirring up civil war in Syria, and two Iranian warships docked at a Syrian naval base, underscoring rising international tensions over the near year-long crisis. Government forces pressed on with their crackdown on the anti-Assad uprising

Iran Warns US Over Syria as Crackdown Grows: Two Iranian warships docked in a Syrian port on Monday as a senior Iranian lawmaker denounced the possibility that the Americans might arm the Syrian opposition, adding to the international tensions over the nearly year-long crackdown by the government of President Bashar al-Assad.

Activist groups reported intensified attacks on the besieged Baba Amr neighborhood in the central city of Homs. They said the government’s inability to eradicate the opposition there despite weeks of bombardment could be keeping the military from striking deeper and harder into other parts of the country where armed resistance and rebellion is believed to be growing, including Hama and Idlib to the north.
Iran? They are already in Syria. What about Israel?

Reports: Israeli commandos act in Syria, Jihadists on Jordan border: Confessions made by Turkish officers arrested in Syria last week reveal that Tel Aviv is involved in the insurgency led by "armed gangs" in the country to overthrow the regime of Bashar Assad, an Iranian news agency reported.

The correspondent of the Iranian Fars News Agency in Damascus, citing Syrian security sources, claimed that seven out of the 49 Turkish officers arrested, have admitted being trained by the Israeli Mossad, to carry out terrorist operations. They also claim to have initiated contacts with Saudi Arabia and Qatar. One of the Turkish officers indicated that Israeli commandos infiltrated the Syrian territory and provided assistance to the free Syrian army. He said the Mossad has also dispatched a team to Jordan to train members of al-Qaeda who came from Libya in order to send them to Syria to fight the regular Syrian army .

Syria’s army escalated its shelling of the city of Homs as President Bashar al-Assad accused “foreign sides” of providing weapons and money to rebels.

This should be a middle east problem and solution. The United States and Russia and China must stay out of it. That includes any future shipments of arms and ammunition.

Man I reiterate: Those people are on their own even though Iran is helping Syria and at least Russia And China are sanctioning murder and at least Russia is sending tons of arms and ammunition to Syria to be used in killing fellow Syrians. The civil war Russia keeps warning will be the result of UN intervention is here. Russia China, Iran, they are all responsible for creating this civil war. They made armed intervention by the protesters necessary because the peaceful protesters were labeled as terrorists and being slaughtered.

So far 40,000 soldiers have defected to help the protesters. I said when soldiers first defected that it would take the whole army as they are fighting the IRG too even though for now it is denied. We have heard for a while now that Arab observers are pulling out and staying. I have to believe Russia up to no good saying they want more observers knowing Syria is using the observers to kill as many people as possible.

In fact knowing what Russia is suggesting a few weeks ago we suggested, swell the numbers of Observers and the next time they are dragged into this by being fired on let them take up arms, claim self defense, and they are in against Syrian forces. The war and the breakdown will be out in the open.

Syria, Iran and Bashar Al-Assad appear to be the masters. From the beginning of the chaos in Syria we have been saying that Iran more specifically the IRG (Iran Revolutionary Guard) was in Syria helping if not leading the way in trying to quell the uprising. You know Bashar's only friend Iran is dictating that this slaughter is a necessity though Syria knows how to brutalize its people all to well. Iran will not allow a Democracy at her door step further isolating her.

That in itself defies logic because Iran is Shiite and Bashar and the ruling minority is Sunni like Al Qaeda and Saudi Arabia who we said would come to the aid of the citizens who are largely Shiite. It is all very confusing. Al Qaeda would not destroy Sunni security offices killing Sunni forces or would they?

However Bashar has already proven capable of killing his own to blame it on protesters and further his cause. He is also flat out lying saying protesters have killed 2000 of his security forces, a number pulled out of the air in order to kill and quell those against him. This Bashar created civil war is barely starting unless he leaves and he will not. As long as Russia keeps the 60 ton deliveries of arms and ammunition coming Syria will be all right. Iran will never allow Syria to fall to Democracy.

Russia is also right that the world must stay out including them and China not just the US, the EU, and Israel. This is an Arab problem and the middle east should solve it unless WW3 is the goal. What do you think? Are we using Syria to get into Iran?

US, Thailand hold largest military drill in Asia Pacific: Should we invite China to a military exercise against them?

US, Thailand hold largest military drill in Asia Pacific: The Cobra Gold 2012, the largest ever multinational military exercise in the Asia-Pacific region jointly held by Thailand and the United States, began in Thailand on Feb. 7. More than 13,000 military personnel from the United States, Thailand, Japan, South Korea, Indonesia, Singapore, and Malaysia have participated in the 11-day exercise.

The Cobra Gold exercise has been held annually since 1982. Given the large scale and busy schedule of the 31st Cobra Gold exercise this time and America’s newly unveiled military strategy that switches focus to the Asia-Pacific region, analysts believe that this exercise will be an important step the United States takes to enhance ties and expand cooperation with its Asian allies and to achieve its goal of “returning to Asia” and shifting its strategic focus eastward.

China says US defense policy stance misjudges Beijing intent: judge for yourself

China says US defense policy stance misjudges Beijing intent: The United States' expanded military presence in Asia is based on a miscalculation of Beijing's intent to modernize its military defenses, China said on Monday, taking a tempered stance in its first official response to Washington's plan. The United States unveiled a defense strategy last week to boost capacity in Asia, an attempt to counter China's growing ability to check U.S. power in the region, that comes with a pledged reduction in the overall size of U.S. forces. I think we have it just right this time if Iran will allow us the luxury.

China and U.S. Brinkmanship in the South China Sea: Two weeks ago, The Washington Post broadsided us with another Beltway bombshell: China's "Underground Great Wall" – a "vast network of tunnels" with a "sophisticated missile and nuclear arsenal" dug by "a secretive branch of the Chinese military."

China is also challenging its neighbors over the Spratly Islands, the Paracels, the Scarborough Shoals, Reed Bank and Tungsha in a South China Sea home to 17.7 billion tons of oil and gas? According to the Indonesian Center of Democracy, Diplomacy and Defense, Beijing has deployed 27 battleships, an aircraft carrier and unknown submarines to the area amid competing claims with Brunei, Malaysia, the Philippines, Taiwan and Vietnam.

After years of covering the growing tensions between China the US and all of the rest of Asia feeling bullied by China the story is getting long. Factbox: Pentagon details China's military expansion :The Pentagon said that China was on track to forge a modern military by 2020, a rapid buildup that could be potentially destabilizing to the Asia-Pacific region. Its annual assessment to Congress on China flagged all the major concerns over its growing military might, including Beijing's widening edge over Taiwan.

It also noted cyber attacks in 2010 -- including on U.S. government computers -- that appear to have originated in China. Here are details from the report Wow check out the wide expansion

The United States wants a prominent role in Asia to counter China's developing aggression The U.S. move to "return to Asia" aims to gain more interests from Asia's regional development and cement its dominant position in Asia. First, it should learn to get along with China. Its "return" to Asia has drawn people's attention back to a possible confrontation between itself and China. Many Western scholars believe that the reassertion of the leading U.S. role in Asia is directed against China because only China's rise can pose a potential challenge to its hegemony. Furthermore, a few Asian countries hope to take advantage of the United States, especially its military power, to strike a so-called strategic balance with China
.
U.S. wants to use India in missile shield against Russia, China

We have been discussing increased tensions due to ownership claims over long disputed islands and unrecovered raw material riches below the east and South China Seas for years. China is embroiled in territorial disputes with Vietnam, the Philippines, Taiwan, Malaysia, Brunei Japan, and India:

China has been making all these ownership claims while warning other Asian countries to stay away. Meanwhile they have supposedly been building their world war machine with "innocent" intentions. China accuses Japan of exaggerating it as a military threat: It is no exaggeration it is called truth and you better be concerned

and China calls weapons modernization drive warnings alarmist "cock-and-bull story.

Also US senators warn Beijing on South China Sea, China warns US to stay out of it

All this to no avail as China's answer is always that her intentions are innocent "yeah like Hitler's military buildup prior to WW2" We must all stop playing these games at this point and like it or not "share" if we are to survive into the future. Sadly we know the powers to be are not smart enough to do that. We are already in severe trouble with the condition of the world environmentally and due to power struggles getting ready to erupt in the Middle East and make things horrifically worse in many regards.

I am a little worried that China too is getting a little too heavy handed and abusive with her new position of power and beginning to take what she wants instead of being content with what she has which is what I constantly lecture has to be the case if we are to have a future. The time when man and the planet could handle war and colonialism is over, period or else!

We are Taiwan's, the Philippines, and Japan's protectors and now Vietnam's. Vietnam is no real threat to China so what is up here? As China flex's their military muscles in the area we are not supposed to worry. Just what are we supposed to think they are going to do with their advanced weaponry, missiles, stealth aircraft, aircraft carriers and the like.

Their threats are going to become more ominous until they cannot be ignored and it is too late. We have been here before. The world was not supposed to worry as Hitler built his arsenal and we know how that turned out. If peace is truly the goal then try something unique and share the wealth. We need peace to succeed as a world into the 21st century not more and never ending war.

To make the situation worse as we've discussed often, the US is pledged to defend Taiwan who "at least they say" will never unify under China. There is no way we can get militarily involved with China's lust to rebuild Imperial China. Three years ago the US signed a deal to deliver a massive amount of advanced weaponry to Taiwan. The package includes a variety of U.S.-made weapons systems, including Patriot III anti-missile missiles, Apache attack helicopters, Harpoon missiles and Javelin anti-tank missiles. This was 3 years ago Some deliveries are in process and some still being worked out.

China is not taking this lying down! We have covered East, South, and China sea disputes extensively

Knowing all of this I must once again express naivety. We are so kept in the dark as to any truth in any incident here and around the world. I had no idea or even thought in this context but President Hu Jintao's call for a rejuvenation of the country 100 years after the Xinhai Revolution that ended more than 2,000 years of dynastic rule in China is something new to me. Worse part is that this includes Taiwan too and China is not going to settle for no! China Urges Reunification at 100th Anniversary of Demise of Last Dynasty

President Hu calls on all of China's sons and daughters to join hands to carry on with the work of the Chinese Republic's first president, Sun Yat-sen, and realize his ideals of what he described as “China's great rejuvenation.” China has not been building her military and flexing her muscles for nothing. China wants Asia period and not just supremacy. She is going to have her Dynasty once again United States be damned. I do not like this, once again we are putting ourselves right in the middle of a growing conflict or war.

As we discussed there have been at least three cases of groups of Chinese military ships crossing through the area of Okinawa since November 2008, first 4 ships then 6 then 8 and now 10 including destroyers and submarines. That case appeared to be the first involving surfaced submarines. The group of 10 ships, including the submarines, was observed about 90 miles (140 kilometers) southwest of Okinawa in international waters.

Two missile destroyers and three frigate ships from the same group were spotted participating in a flight exercise of carrier-based helicopters April 7-9, the Defense Ministry's Joint Staff Office said in a statement The war ships were in international waters but close to Okinawa and Japan was not notified. That area as you may know has natural resources under the ocean and islands claimed by both Nations.

It is important that we stay in Okinawa as China plays a more important role in Asia and around the world as she gains strength militarily and economically as we just discussed. Remember our discussion on the importance of China and the US staying together to move successfully through the 21st century

We must maintain as much of the old world balance and order as we can to maintain a balance as we try to move progressively and successfully through the 21st century! I know of China and Japan's past, I know of the still ongoing Island disputes, the disagreement over natural gas in another area of the East China Sea, I also remember that with China's economic clout rising she took the number 3 seat on the world bank and we talk constantly that China is taking the leading role in Asia and Asia relations.

Being in a superior position puts one in a unique position of power and that power must be handled gracefully, with humility, responsibly, and not abused. That is something I taught all my sons and America under Bush did a lousy job of handling. I am a little worried that China too is getting a little too heavy handed and abusive with her new position of power and beginning to take what she wants instead of being content with what she has which is what I constantly lecture has to be the case if we are to have a future. The time when man and the planet could handle war and colonialism is over, period or else!

We are Taiwan's and Japan's protectors.

Shabab is being humiliated so no surprise Zawahiri says Somalia's Shabab joined Qaeda: video

: The spokesman for Kenya's military says an estimated 100 Somali militants were killed after helicopter gunships targeted a gathering of more than 200 al-Shabab fighters in Somalia. Maj. Emmanuel Chirchir said Friday that the gunships targeted a meeting where close to 20 al-Shabab vehicles were gathered near Badhade.

African Union: Somalia's al-Shabab Being 'Systematically Destroyed':Zawahiri says Somalia's Shabab joined Qaeda: video:

Somalia's extremist Shabab fighters have joined ranks with Al-Qaeda, the terror network's chief Ayman al-Zawahiri announced in a video message posted on jihadist forums on Thursday. "I will break the good news to our Islamic nation, which will... annoy the crusaders, and it is that the Shabab movement in Somalia has joined Al-Qaeda," Zawahiri said."The jihadist movement is with the grace of Allah, growing and spreading within its Muslim nation despite facing the fiercest crusade campaign in history by the West," said Zawahiri in the video released by Al-Qaeda's media arm As-Sahab.

KDF kill top al Shabaab commander in Somalia: THIRTEEN Al Shabaab insurgents including one of its top commanders were on Tuesday killed by the Kenya Defense Forces following a fierce exchange of fire at Dalayat, Southern Somalia. Following the attack, one Kenyan soldier was wounded, and had to be flown to Garissa military camp, where he is undergoing medical attention.

Good luck with that! It will not help Al Shabaab now unless they leave Somalia and spread around the world as we said. They will now become another part of the head of the hydra!

After what happened to the United States ending with Black Hawk Down and our departure from Somalia I thought Al Shabab would never be defeated. Then I came to the realization that they could be defeated if area countries and the world rallied around the effort to make them a non entity at least as a separate arm of Al Qaeda. Well it has happened and they are being defeated.

Kenyan jets kill '60 or more' Somali insurgents: Kenyan jets bombed an al Shabaab camp in southern Somalia Friday killing 50 fighters of the rebel group and injuring 60 others, its military spokesman said. Emmanuel Chirchir told Reuters the fighters of the al Qaeda-linked al Shabaab group at the camp situated south of Garbahare had been planning to attack Kenyan and Somali troops in two nearby towns captured by Kenyan forces this week. "This is one of the biggest losses to the al Shabaab. The concentration of fighters was believed to be preparing to attack our troops in Fafadun and Elade," Chirchir said.

AU: Somalia's al-Shabab Being 'Systematically Destroyed': The African Union is asking the United Nations to fund a final push aimed at crushing al-Shabab by August. "The Shabab as a military force is being systematically and steadily destroyed. They have been defeated in Mogadishu, they are now being defeated in the Gedo and Juba regions, same happened in Beledweyn a week ago," Lamamra said.

Al Shabab's demise is not guaranteed yet and I still believe many have left for the Gulf of Aden, Yemen, and other areas they think they will have an impact. Their demise though started with a new militia faction that is about the only group in the country to go against the al-Shabab and win. The Ahlu Sunnah Wal Jama - followers of Sufism or mystical Islam - are mostly volunteering students who say they have no political ambitions beyond expelling al-Shabab from the capital, one district at a time. Time to put them in overdrive as you will agree. the Al Shabab killers Ahlu Sunnah Wal Jamma We should send them around the world.

Al Shabab should have negotiated last November when they were given the chance When we noted the world was closing in on them

Better still They should have taken Amnesty from Somalia when it was offered

I am impressed and really believe we stand a chance at defeating the Islamist extremism if only the entire world and every region where they flourish comes together and eradicates them.

Part of NATO missile defense shield in Turkey goes live

Part of NATO missile defense goes live : The station is located in the city of Malatya, about 400 miles southeast of the capital Ankara, and is manned by both Turkish and U.S. personnel, the spokesman said. Turkey is one of five countries that have agreed to deploy parts of the U.S.-designed defense system. Portugal, Poland, Romania and Spain have also agreed to participate.

NATO asked Russia to participate in the system but negotiations have been deadlocked over Russia's demand for a legally binding treaty guaranteeing the shield would not be used as a deterrent to Moscow's own systems.

I remember almost a month back when Iran said as soon as the site in Turkey was on line it would be a valid target for Iran. I also just caught that Russia and the United States are pretty close to an agreement on being partners on the MDS. The only problem now is getting the US to put on paper that Russia is not a target. That should not be a problem one way or the other. Sign the damn paper.

Iran has been upgrading its missile systems and has showed off its Sejil 2 two stage solid fuel missile capable of reaching targets 1,200 miles away. They had that ability with the Shahab 3 but are now prepared to produce these en masse. They now have capable short and medium range capabilities but no way to deliver nuclear warheads. Supposedly these are not to be used offensively but only to prove Iran can defend herself. Once again you have to believe the weapons are to prove they are a threat offensively.

Iran was already a threat to her immediate neighbors with a 600 mile range now they have paraded the ability to produce missiles capable of reaching parts of Europe and certainly most of the middle east.

President Obama based his decision to scrap Bush's worthless MDS Boondoggle as it was only designed to provoke Russia and was never even tested under realistic conditions despite its 4 Billion dollar cost. As you know after much expert advice and thought he scrapped it for the much tested land and water based mobile Aegis system. This great decision which Europe and Russia welcome was based on a reassessment of the developing and changing threat coming from Iran! defending Europe because of Iran is the priority Decisions based on intelligent reasoning what a novel idea!

The water based mobile Aegis system can even be moved to the Gulf "you know it is already there" and other area's of concern that may and will crop up to counter immediate short and medium range missile threats. Meanwhile by 2017 (now I hear 2015) when Iran is expected to have long range capabilities the Aegis is also scheduled to have long range and ICBM defense capabilities. If Russia and NATO join the effort as proposed I am confident we will be prepared for any future threats!

To top it all off a recent Defense Department report to Congress concludes that Iran could develop a missile capable of striking the United States by 2015. Besides the mobile aegis the U.S. has 25 long-range interceptor missiles based in Alaska and California, as part of a system designed to defend the nation against an attack from North Korea or Iran. Eight of 14 tests of the interceptors have been successful, that gives me pause but I feel we are smart enough to have overkill as far as Iran goes. Whatever it takes get on with the rest of the system.

Assassinations and Attempts in U.S. Since 1865

Thinking about what happened with the shooting of Representative Giffords and the upcoming anniversaries of the assassinations of MLK and JFK I had to look again at the extensive record of assassinations and attempts in our Government: As some of you know, I am increasingly pessimistic about the real history of events involving America since the advent of George W. made me realize nothing is as it seems or as we are told. realizing that we not only do not know the truth as to who assassinated MLK but RFK and JFK. I was compelled to delve into past assassinations.

Assassinations and Attempts in U.S. Since 1865

Lincoln, Abraham (president of U.S: Shot April 14, 1865, in Washington, DC, by John Wilkes Booth; died April 15.

Seward, William H. (secretary of state): Escaped assassination (though injured) April 14, 1865, in Washington, DC, by Lewis Powell (or Paine), accomplice of John Wilkes Booth.

Garfield, James A. (president of U.S.): Shot July 2, 1881, in Washington, DC, by Charles J. Guiteau; died Sept. 19.

McKinley, William (president of U.S.): Shot Sept. 6, 1901, in Buffalo by Leon Czolgosz; died Sept. 14.

Roosevelt, Theodore (ex-president of U.S.): Escaped assassination (though shot) Oct. 14, 1912, in Milwaukee while campaigning for president.

Cermak, Anton J. (mayor of Chicago): Shot Feb. 15, 1933, in Miami by Giuseppe Zangara, who attempted to assassinate Franklin D.
Roosevelt; Cermak died March 6.

Roosevelt, Franklin D. (president-elect of U.S.): Escaped assassination unhurt Feb. 15, 1933, in Miami.

Long, Huey P. (U.S. senator from Louisiana): Shot Sept. 8, 1935, in Baton Rouge by Dr. Carl A. Weiss; died Sept. 10.

Truman, Harry S. (president of U.S.): Escaped assassination unhurt Nov. 1, 1950, in Washington, DC, as 2 Puerto Rican nationalists attempted to shoot their way into Blair House.

Kennedy, John F. (president of U.S.): Shot Nov. 22, 1963, in Dallas, Tex., allegedly by Lee Harvey Oswald; died same day. Injured was Gov. John B. Connally of Texas. Oswald was shot and killed two days later by Jack Ruby.

Malcolm X, also known as El-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz (black activist): Shot and killed in a New York City auditorium, Feb. 21, 1965; his killer(s) were never positively identified.

King, Martin Luther, Jr. (civil rights leader): Shot April 4, 1968, in Memphis by James Earl Ray; died same day.

Kennedy, Robert F. (U.S. senator from New York): Shot June 5, 1968, in Los Angeles by Sirhan Bishara Sirhan; died June 6.

Wallace, George C. (governor of Alabama): Shot and critically wounded in assassination attempt May 15, 1972, at Laurel, Md., by Arthur Herman Bremer. Wallace paralyzed from waist down.

Ford, Gerald R. (president of U.S.): Escaped assassination attempt Sept. 5, 1975, in Sacramento, Calif., by Lynette Alice (Squeaky) Fromme, who pointed but did not fire .45-caliber pistol. Escaped assassination attempt in San Francisco, Calif., Sept. 22, 1975, by Sara Jane Moore, who fired one shot from a .38-caliber pistol that was deflected.

Jordan, Vernon E., Jr. (civil rights leader): Shot and critically wounded in assassination attempt May 29, 1980, in Fort Wayne, Ind.

Reagan, Ronald (president of U.S.): Shot in left lung in Washington by John W. Hinckley, Jr., on March 30, 1981; three others also wounded. Assassinations and Attempts in U.S. Since 1865

I started wondering if it has become common to at least attempt to assassinate the leader of the other Party if they appear to be too much of a threat to your beliefs. More importantly I am seeing disturbing patterns. we are having civil Rights leader and Activists killed along with FRK and JFK and not only are they inadequately investigated but the truth never known as to who was behind their killings and why.

Although James Earl Ray was convicted of the assassination of Martin Luther King, Jr., there are persistent doubts that he was the assassin, and the family of Dr. King now believes Ray is innocent. They are calling for a new trial for Ray, and investigation into the truth behind the event.

This page is a collection of materials and links that discuss this tragic event, but even if the case is never solved to the satisfaction of everyone, the investigations have served a useful purpose: to reveal deficiencies in our institutions, processes, and officials that require corrective action. Our focus will be on what needs to be done to correct those deficiencies.Researches JFK, RFK, MLK and other assassinations

The truth is never known and I am finding out that RFK's assassination was and still is a major cover up. This is mind-blowing! The extensive cover up

Knowing we never learned the truth behind the assassinations of MLK, RFK, and JFK, and knowing how openly corruptive and underhanded the right is today I am increasingly believing that the powers behind the right are behind the killings and I am willing to bet I'm right. I would like to know what you think about that?

What is behind China controlling Tibet? Water not Religion or unity!

What's behind China's Tibetan unrest?: Beijing appears determined to contain the volatile situation in an ethnically Tibetan region of southwestern China by sending in thousands of extra security forces. The move comes against a backdrop of anger and despair over Chinese rule, culminating in a growing number of protests and clashes with police, as well as a string of acts of self-immolation by Tibetans.

What is the dispute about?
I'll tell you what it is about and it is not Religion. It is all about controlling their and Asia's water source the Himalayas!

China's obsession with Tibet is all about controlling Asia's water source for the future. China will "smash" any plan to undermine Tibet's place within China because the Himalaya's are China and Asia's water supply. Control that and you control Asia or start a war?

China stands firm against Tibet separatism: The man destined to take over the leadership of China said he will "smash" any plan to undermine Tibet's place within China. Xi Jinping made the statement during a major trip to Lhasa, the capital of Tibet, where he and his entourage of nearly 60 senior central government ... China will "smash" any plan to undermine Tibet's place within China because the Himalaya's are China and Asia's water supply. Control that and you control Asia or start a war? We first discussed it 4 years ago

Droughts and water shortages already been driving conflict around the globe: The potential for conflict is more than theoretical. Turkey, Syria and Iraq bristle over the Euphrates and Tigris rivers. Sudan, Ethiopia and Egypt trade threats over the Nile. The United Nations has said water scarcity is behind the bloody wars in Sudan’s Darfur region. In Somalia, drought has spawned warlords and armies. Already, the World Health Organization says, 1 billion people lack access to potable water. In northern China, retreating glaciers and shrinking wetlands that feed the Yangtze River prompted researchers to warn that water supplies for hundreds of millions of people may be at risk. Water wars will worsen

Water has emerged as a key issue that could determine if Asia is headed toward cooperation or competition. No country would influence that direction more than China, which controls the Tibetan plateau, the source of most major rivers of Asia. Tibet's vast glaciers and high altitude have endowed it with the world's greatest river systems. Its rivers are a lifeline to the world's two most-populous states - China and India - as well as to Bangladesh, Burma, Bhutan, Nepal, Cambodia, Pakistan, Laos, Thailand and Vietnam. These countries make up 47 percent of the global population.

Yet Asia is a water-deficient continent. Although home to more than half of the human population, Asia has less fresh water - 3,920 cubic meters per person - than any continent other than the Antarctica and China is taking it. The looming struggle over water resources in Asia has been underscored by the spread of irrigated farming, water-intensive industries and a growing middle class that wants high water-consuming comforts like washing machines and dishwashers. Household water consumption in Asia is rising rapidly, although several major economies there are acutely water-stressed.

The specter of water wars in Asia is also being highlighted by climate change and environmental degradation in the form of shrinking forests and swamps that foster a cycle of chronic flooding and droughts. The Himalayan snow melt that feeds Asia's great rivers could be accelerated by global warming. Man am I naive! I couldn't understand China's wanting to control Tibet, the Himalaya's, and the Dali Lama, now I know. Asia's water wars It is all about the water period!

This is a crisis that will only worsen every day around the world . Tens of millions of Americans have or are migrating to the southern and western states where there are many areas of chronic water shortages (duh). Remember when then Governor Bill Richardson fired the first shot, suggesting a national water policy, which is shorthand for stealing water from the Great Lakes. Rust belters were outraged, some suggesting we sell Richardson water at $80.00 a barrel.

Vegas, probably the fastest growing area in the country, is sucking as much from the Colorado as it can, and will still have major shortages, perhaps within months. The Great Lakes are in a low cycle and any diversion would probably be an ecological disaster. I was looking at the links that follow and the Great lakes are being fought over as we speak and America is already experiencing water wars as well as much of the world. Please look at the overwhelming amount of stories on The worlds water wars

The world is already at war with our shrinking changing environment. A war we are bound to lose. I cannot comprehend the world racing to another world war that will only serve to seal all of their demise even sooner. What is wrong with us?
